Is Zcash banned anywhere?
A few countries ban crypto altogether. Separately, several regulators bar licensed exchanges from handling privacy coins, which limits buying and selling but not owning.
Will Zcash be banned in the EU?
From 10 July 2027 the EU bars crypto firms from keeping accounts that allow anonymity-enhancing coins. The rule names no coins, so whether ZEC is caught is untested. Owning Zcash in your own wallet is not banned.
